Art Statement
My series ‘Reflection’ is an abstract body of work
that uses sculptural botanicals to represent and explore my time during the
Covid Pandemic. It is an expression of the new behaviours, ideas and way of life, different to the life, comfort and safety we once knew. My series has been a two-year creation which has
allowed me to look back, reflect and visually express this new period of
change, growth and pushing forward with a new understanding of trying times. As time has passed my visual story, opinion and ideas
on events, my time and experiences have changed. – Ben Cole
